Our Story
Chippendale lodge is a Supported Residential Services registered under the Department of Health and Human Services. It caters for 31 residents all suffering from mental illnesses and /or intellectual disabilities. Most of our residents are homeless. Being a pension level facility, Chippendale Lodge charges part of the pension for provision of accommodation, meals / drinks, medication administration, laundry, daily room cleans and liaising with health care professionals. The residents keep a certain amount of the pension for medications, transport fees, haircut, incontinent pads and personal hygiene related goods. We have free gym membership, indoor, outdoor activities, optometry and podiatry and dental services for all of our residents. Chippendale Lodge aims to provide homelike environment and tasty, nutritious, healthy meals and individualized and personal care for each client.
What we do
Chippendale Lodge provides individualised quality care. We provide comfortable surroundings and staff who are friendly, helpful, and professional. We will make sure each Resident is cared for as an individual. Staff will support families/friends through the process of residential care. Links with the community will be encouraged and supported.
Chippendale Lodge supports research which aims to improve residential service and quality of life for residents suffering mental illness.
By continually reviewing and improving the way we provide mental illness, with a commitment to professional development of our staff and ensuring the provision of support technology and resources, Chippendale Lodge will provide the highest standard of residential services.
Consultation with residents, family and friends will be facilitated to provide the opportunity for ‘having a say’ in how we look after residents.
